I was reflecting a bit yesterday about how I ended up marrying Joseph Valentine. A long story for another day.....but in my time of reflection, I was thinking a bit about the few other guys I dated before JVD or several of the ones I had crushes on before I met JVD.
There was one guy in particular who I dated my Sophomore year of college who I thought FOR SURE I was going to marry. FOR SURE! But, thankfully, he broke my heart. :) Oh yes! Because I know, if I had married that guy, I would not be the Danielle I am today. I know that I would have been trying to be the Danielle he wanted me to be, not the Danielle that I am.....
and THAT is a huge reason why I love my Joseph Valentine Dworak.
He fell in love with ME. He loves ME as I am. He helps me to be the best Danielle I can be.....he wants me to be the Danielle God created me to be.
JVD and I both have strengths and weaknesses, flaws and imperfections, wonderful qualities and continued room for improvement....but there is such freedom in being loved completely for who you are at this present moment.
Thanks for loving me and loving our little boy. I love you, Joseph Valentine!
